Best baby purchases

1. Tiny Love Gymini Monkey Island Activity Gym- This is my number one purchase for a big reason, Eli flips out over this mat and he's had it for 4 months now. The padded mat has a lot of things to look at from a Lion, Elephant & a what with Bunnies and Monkey's! There are adjustable arches that are safe and will not fall. There is a play mirror, a stuffed musical Monkey that has a light up tummy ( which he is one of my only complaints, he only plays about 3 seconds of music ) It comes with a Lion Wind chime, a Whale pull toy that vibrates when pulled on a a Leaf teether which he is still absolutely nuts about and plays with on a daily basis, I never leave the house without it! I have to say, this is the best $60 I've ever spent.

2- Boppy Rock in Comfort Travel Swing- All though I didn't buy this one of my neighbors was gracious to let me borrow this. I decided to buy the Fisher Price 2 in 1 Cradle Swing which Eli was not a fan of at all and I was upset because I spent over $100 on that swing. I was brought the Boppy swing and Eli fell in love immediately! It has great melodies that sang him to sleep, it snuggled him in just the right position to stop fussing and fall asleep, ( which he would for like 4 hours at a time! ) It has adjustable times to swing, adjustable speeds and had nice plush toys to look at while swinging. I highly recommend this to any mom with no complaints about it, however do buy re-chargeable's for this as the batteries run out every week!

3- Re Chargeable Batteries- You're really going to need these if you don't plan on going to the store every few days to buy new one's for all of the stuff you just bought your baby! We bought the Energizer Family Battery Charger and it's your one stop shop for battery chargers, it charges every battery & it's only like $30. I think that re chargeable's are the greatest thing since sliced cheese!

4- Baby Einstein Neptune Soother- I bought this because I wanted to buy crib toy for my baby and ran a crossed this. It's a $40 buy at your local Target. I read reviews on this and the only worry that I had is that someone complained about this falling on there baby! In fact this happened to Eli, but this is only because he kicks it when he plays in his crib so I put in some extra safety precautions. All in all, Eli can't sleep without this on, he loves the light, the moving creatures and the music. People complained about how bright the light is but I have no issues with this! I recommend it to anyone and the fact that it plays about 30 mins of music is AMAZING!

5- Baby Magic - I really don't need to say a lot about this except it blows Johnson and Johnson out of the water! The lotion and the baby bath. It smells the way a baby smells, after smelling this on your baby you'll think Johnson and Johnson smells bad...

Teeth!

So, these are the teeth that came in at 4 months but he must have just realized they're in there or something because I have never seen him to this and I think it's pretty funny! Either that or the new teeth that are coming in are starting to feel weird.

Teething

At first I thought my baby had a sore throat because he doesn't want to eat or drink ANYTHING, then he started running fevers on and off so that might have been the cause for all of the fussiness. He doesn't want me to hold him or put him down. I started noticing that he rubs his face on everything, ( usually this only happens when he gets sleepy and he's done that since he was born ) but this is different. He will not let me touch his mouth & eats his entire had and is not sleeping well at all! Usually he takes 2, 2 hour naps a day and sleeps about 12 hours a night. Lately it's 1, 1 1/2 hour naps and waking up frequently during the night and it hits me, he's teething! I didn't think of this earlier because he already has his bottom 2 teeth which he got at 4 months old and he didn't care what so ever on what was going on!

What do I do about teething? He hates anything cold touching him, not a huge fan of teething rings, he doesn't want to eat the wash cloth that he usually loves, so I bought him the Night Time Baby Orajel and gave him a tiny bit of Baby Ibuprofen. He's having issues sleeping at night and I refuse to let him win and come out of the crib so he is currently playing in his diaper and has a few good toys to keep him happy and entertained! I know he can't cause trouble in there ;) Once it's bed time the pj's come on, the toys come out and the blanket goes on.

For those of you who do not know the symptoms of teething here you go; Being irritable, drooling, coughing ( the extra spit in the mouth can cause them to cough or choke ) chin rash from drooling, swollen gums, refusing to eat, diarrhea ( this happens because of the extra drool being swallowed so it loosens the poop ) low fevers, not sleeping well & cold symptoms. Unfortunately the teeth come in more at night, so look forward to loosing sleep!

I little about me.

I decided to create this blog because last night my son started to run a fever, and I freaked! It was to late to call him doctor and the only place I had to turn was to the internet. There are all kinds of medical pages, but they just state, " Please consult there Pediatrician " Other's argue on forums on what's right and what's wrong. Stick him in a cold bath, stick him in a warm bath, never bath while running a fever! He hadn't wanted to eat all day, he was fussy and totally miserable. So some people say give him honey and other people say never ever do that! Seriously? I was so confused.
So I went with what I know. I gave him Baby Ibuprofen, changed a diaper, took his pants off and let him play on my bed until he was ready to eat. He finally got hungry enough he ate, pooped and passed out.

I surf the web on a daily basis and read reviews for toys, food, diapers and anything else you can think of on what the best thing to give to your baby is. I'm a single mom of only 23 years. 5 years ago I would have never seen myself this way. I always hope for the best. I hope that by making this blog, I can help even one person's life less complicated!

I will give my opinions and let you know of my finds! Thank you for reading my blog and never be worried about leaving a comment or sending an e-mail!
